AVONDALE BLUE DEVILS TOUCHDOWN CLUB

The county provides a set amount of uniforms, helmets and pads for our team. Raising the funds for all the rest of the kids and equipment is where the Touchdown Club comes in. As a 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization, we collect tax-deductible donations and hold fundraisers for the kids.

Why football? Aren't there more important things to support?

Football has the ability to do a lot of things for a lot of people very quickly.

Football generates quite a bit of enthusiasm and revenue for the school's many needs. The football program also creates several areas for students and parents to get involved where they may not have been involved with anything at the school before.

  • Up to 100 kids (and sometimes more) participate on the teams as players.
  • Avondale has put marching bands with over 120 students on the field.
  • Dance teams are a big part of the show having as many as 20 dancers.
  • Cheerleaders are a centerpiece of any football game.
  • Kids get the opportunity to learn organizational fundamentals as team managers.
  • Volunteer opportunites & jobs are created by concession stands, referees, field keepers, announcers, etc…
  • A lot of people can fit in the stadium.
  • It's Georgia High School football. People can yell and scream all they want!
  • The stadium is a large “rallying place” for many people.

That's about 300 people involved... students and others... and that's just the active participants! Fill the stands and there are thousands involved!
